As the fourth phase separation device,Centrifugal Separator is widely used in the oill and gas Drilling feild. But What is the Centrifugal Separator Working Principle?

According to characteristics of oil drilling fluids,Centrifugal Separator is designed and manufacture as the Solid – Liquid Separation Equipment. It can complete working procedure, such as loading centrifugal settling unloading, at the high-speed operation. it is used principally for the recovery of barite, removal of fine solid particles so that it can lower solids content in drilling fluids and control of drilling fluid density and viscosity and ensure the performance of drilling fluid and improve the drilling speed.

Centrifugal Separator use the principles of centrifugal settling to separate the drilling fluids suspension. The suspension is pushed into Centrifugal drum by propelling screw. Under the action of centrifugal force, the solid particles is pushed into the inner wall of the drum and discharged from one end of the drum.  Then liquid phase overflow from other end overflow orifice of the drum. Like this continuous cycle, Centrifugal Separator achieve the objective of continuous separation. Mud Centrifugal Separator belongs to the category of horizontal spiral centrifuges (Full Name: Mud horizontal screw decanter centrifuge).
